Microsoft has already released the third Windows 11 Build 22000.71 as of 15th July 2021. All of us are eagerly waiting for the stable release of the Windows 11 upgrade to enjoy the new polished design on our PCs. Microsoft announced Windows 11 in the launch event of 24th June 2021 and promised to deliver by the end of this year.
The first insider preview came out the next week of the Windows 11 event, now by when it’s expected to release to the public. Most are expecting by the last week of December or the first week of January 2022 but here we have got a solid leak by Intel.
Recently Intel released the Driver Support for Windows 11 with its document suggesting the Microsoft Windows 11 64 bit updates will be named as Windows 11 October 2021 Update (21H2) as you can clearly see in the screenshot. Further Intel Document has included the support for the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th Generation drivers.
The current Windows 11 Insider Preview is also named Version 21H2 so it is clearly matching with the official details.
Earlier Walmart also listed the Windows 11 update to be available by 20th October update on its product listings. So combined all leads suggest October for the Windows 11 upgrade.

Windows 11 Insider Previews – Released Dates
Microsoft has started releasing the Windows 11 Insiders Previews from the 28th of June 2021, which is just after the four days of the launch event. After that two Cumulative Updates for Windows 11 were released each after a week.
Each update consists of new features along with fixes to the previous build. Microsoft follows the same path to give a stable environment for stable users. A lot of new changes including a new start menu, centered taskbar, rounded corners, new settings, widgets, task views, and a new action center were introduced from the first update itself. Now let’s look at all the released previews with their features and drawbacks.
Windows 11 22000.71 Build
Windows 11 22000.71 was released very recently on the 15th July 2021. This update came up with a new acrylic design for the context menu. A new entertainment widget is synced from the Microsoft Movies Section. Taskbar app preview adopted the new Windows 11 design look to match with rounded corners and glossy background.
Windows 11 Cumulative Update 22000.65
Just like Windows 10, the next update was pushed on the 8th of July 2021, as a cumulative update to Windows 11 with a build version 22000.65. It added a search bar to the top of the start menu, to make apps, settings, and web results searching easy for users.
The Refresh button was also back on the context menu of the desktop. Settings Power and Battery options got the new control panel options. Further lot of crashing issues of settings and explorer.exe were fixed from the previous build.
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.51
Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 10.0.22000.51 was released as a free upgrade to Windows 10 users. Only Insiders on Dev Channel with a TPM 2.0 chip and UEFI Boot mode were allowed to join the Windows Insider Program with Dev Channel else they can keep receiving Windows 10 updates on the Release Preview channel.
The first 22000.51 build was a length feature update of large size and also took a long time to freely upgrade the PCs. The first impression was quite good with lots of new features and fewer issues. Everything was working as expected with the changed interface. Especially rounded corners, good spacing, glossy windows, and new icons gave a modern look to Windows 11.
Start menu and its search appeared as different functions with integrated working. Task view and widgets were totally new for the users. Task view further enhanced the functionality with multiple desktops.
Windows 11 21H2
Microsoft is hinting at following the same 21H2 version number for the stable release. Windows Insider Previews are also named as Version 21H2, which can be verified by accessing the winver app from the Start menu search.
Recently Microsoft also announced the next feature update to Windows 10, Version 21H2. It must be for matching all the security updates with the new OS. Windows 10 21H2 Insider Preview is already out for testing and mainly focused on improving the productivity of users with security enhancements. The next Windows 11 21H2 is expected with promised features by Windows 10 21H2.
The Windows 11 21H2 will get new WiFi security with WPA3 support to tackle the WPA2 security drawbacks. Further Windows Hello to deploy the passwordless authentication with pin and the touch id. The developers will also get GPU support for Windows Subsystem for Linux and Edge for Linux on Windows.
The DirectStorage Windows 11 Exclusive Gaming feature will now be shared with Windows 10 to let developers reach maximum gamers. DirectStorage processes our data using the latest NVMe SSD. Its API will reduce the game loading for huge user-centric games.
Hopefully, these features will be available by the Windows 11 release date in October 2021.
