  1. Thanks solution 1 worked for me, earlier I was not turning off screen overlay of system apps, but after turning off screen overlay of all apps including system apps worked for me…

  2. Hmm, screen overlay feature is also used by some system apps too hence you also need to turn off screen overlay of all apps including system apps

  3. Solution 2 solved my problem and it’s abt time cuz I been struggling with this for weeks smh..force stopping my battery saver app did the trick

  4. Finally figured it out, rather accidentally. Turns out, my DU Booster app had enabled corner swipes and that was causing the screen overlay issue. Disabled that and everything, including the phone keyboard showing up on my locked screen (another unfortunate symptom of this error) was corrected.

  5. thank you very much for this. happened suddenly and couldn’t figure it out. step 2, foreclosing my task killer app solved it!

  6. Turn off screen overlay of all apps, then turn on all permissions of all apps by going to Settings, App, Click on App on Which Screen overlay detected error is appearing, Click on Permissions and now turn on all permissions of that app.
This must solve screen overlay detected error on your device.

  7. After reading #2, I did all that plus turned off all notifications. Don’t know what was the problem, but it worked great. Could not sold reading Android/Google solution. Glad I found you!!!!!!
